Mini Split & Ductless System Installation

Single-zone vs. multi-zone

A single-zone system (one outdoor unit, one indoor head) conditions one room or open area. Multi-zone systems run several indoor heads off one outdoor unit and can cover a whole house. A two-zone system costs well under twice a single-zone, since the outdoor unit and most labor are shared.

Built for NH winters

We install cold-climate Mitsubishi systems with Hyper-Heat technology — full heating output at 5°F. That means your mini split isn't just summer AC; it's a legitimate primary heat source that costs far less to run than baseboard or propane. NHSaves rebates apply to qualifying cold-climate models (see our heat pump page for current amounts).

What installation looks like

Site visit and load assessment → exact quote → install day: mount indoor unit(s), set outdoor unit on pad or brackets, run the lineset through a ~3" opening, connect electrical, vacuum-test, and commission. Most single-zone jobs: done before dinner. We leave the site clean — see our installs on the Projects page.

Frequently asked questions

A ductless mini split gives you heating and air conditioning in one wall-mounted unit — no ductwork required, installed in as little as one day. Mini splits are our specialty at TJM Climate Control: they're the ideal solution for NH homes with baseboard heat, additions, bonus rooms, and older houses that were never built for central air.
